After is built to avoid a common failure mode of AI products: confident answers with no evidence.

1. Grounded answers only

“Ask After” searches and ranks entries in your private ledger. It does not call an open-ended generative model to invent vendors, prices, reviews, or outcomes.

2. Refusal when evidence is missing

If your ledger has no matching decision or outcome, After returns a clear refusal. It will not fill the gap with guesses from the public internet.

3. Sample data is excluded

Optional sample entries are labeled and ignored by Ask After so demos cannot be mistaken for your real history.

4. Your logs remain the source of truth

After can only be as accurate as what you record. Edit or delete entries that are wrong. Export your vault to audit it outside the app.

5. Not a substitute for due diligence

Recalling that you kept or dumped something is not a certification of quality, safety, legality, or suitability for anyone else.
